Tours are periodically organized by the Prairie House Preservation Society and provided upon request. Sign up for our newsletters for announcements and email us with requests.
Tours offer opportunities for architecture enthusiasts, students, educators and local community to experience the space in its current state, while learning about the importance of preserving Herb Greene’s legacy and the pressing need to advocate for endangered historic architecture in the Norman area.
PHPS offers complimentary site tours and access for Native Americans and their affiliated organizations.
The all wood building exterior has experienced deterioration since being completed in 1961. The landscape and vegetation has also changed over time. As the PHPS works toward restoring and preserving the site, the visits are to encourage knowledge and support of this iconic and endangered masterpiece toward its restoration.
All tour proceeds go toward the efforts behind restoring and preserving the Prairie House building and site.
